Herter Brothers Clock ca. 1875

I guess this is clock month. I did a posting on a gargantuan R.J. Horner grandfather clock here (site no longer available)that closed at $29,000 and now here is a rare Herter Brothers clock. There is no mistaking that this is a Herter due to the name prominently carved into the marble face:

The wood is black walnut with burl walnut panels. According to the seller, the last Herter clock that surfaced sold for $25,000. This one is starting at $15,500 as the minimum bid. You can see the listing here.
