Aesthetic Recamier At The Armory
Herter Brothers or Associated Artists? That was the question that was floating about at the Armory this past weekend. Joan Bogart had opinions from others on the maker associated with her recamier but no one had a rock solid firm one. The flower, inlay patterns, and carved feet have unmistakable and possibly unique design, so there is a chance it could be researched. There is a repeating pattern above the flowers on the skirt that is very faint but pleasing and distinctive as well. If anyone wants to inspect in greater detail, I have sharp & large photos that I can send back to you upon request. Any Aesthetic fans out there seen these attributes somewhere before?
