The set is comprised of 100+" tall burled bed and vanity as well as a nightstand. On a small note, the stand is missing it's pull. Bidding starts at $15,000 with expected range of $30,000 to $35,000.     It's my understanding that this bed was purchased by Southhampton and then later repurchased by the underbidder at the Fontaine auction. We own the same bedroom suite except our dresser has three drawers. There is at least another bedroom suite owned b a dentist in Virginia. The Neal Auction Company sold a single bed in 1992 (?) for $16,000 but it had some condition problems. The central crest, however, had an arch, like a pediment, whereas our example has the row of carved walnuts, like the Fontaine bed. Under the plaque on the central crest, our bed has a C with a slant though it, just like a one cent symbol.
